Learning Resources Multiplication Master Giveaway

My oldest son started learning a little bit of multiplication this past year in 2nd grade when they began preparing for the annual TCAP exam. He easily became frustrated because it was an entirely new concept thrown on them after just having mastered larger-numbered addition and subtraction. He loves video games so when I was given the opportunity to review the Multiplication Master Electronic Flash Card, I couldn't wait to see what he thought about it.

The Multiplication Master Electronic Flash Card is sold by Learning Resources - a terrific resource for educational toys! The handheld device measures 4.5" in diameter so it's small enough to fit your child's little hands. There are two skill levels to choose from based on your child's experience with multiplication. You can also choose which time table (0-12) he/she needs to practice. The problems are shown in a vertical format and you can switch between timed and untimed modes plus fun sound effects are included!

I recommend reading through the directions before sending your child off to play with it - simply turning it on and trying to play was a little difficult for my son (8 years old). I played through a few of the different modes so I could understand it to teach him how to maneuver through the options. Traditional flash cards just don't measure up to this fun device once you get the hang of it! I did, however, buy rechargeable batteries :)

We are continuing to use this toy to practice throughout the summer - I don't want him to lose the little bit he had already learned so we're sticking with the 0's, 1's and 2's until he masters those then moving adding one set at a time. For the 4th of July, we're going on a vacation to Florida so I plan on bringing this with us to keep him busy - maybe even his little brother will pick up on a few problems and be ahead!

Learning Resources is providing ONE (1) lucky Lynchburg Coupon Mama fan the opportunity to own one of these nifty Multiplication Master Electronic Flash Cards! You must be 18+ and a resident of the U.S. to win. Enter below via the Rafflecopter!
