                                          Chocolate Chip Bars (Dairy, Egg, Nut Free)


2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
3 1/2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups dairy free chocolate chips

In a large bowl, combine the vegetable oil and applesauce. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt with a wire whisk. Add the flour mixture to the vegetable oil mixture, and mix well using a rubber spatula.

Preheat the oven to 350, and spray a 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 X 1 inch jelly roll pan with dairy free baking spray. Stir in the chocolate chips, and spread the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is light brown and an inserted cake tester comes out clean. Cool completely in the pan on a rack, and cut into small squares.

Your Welcome! I make a lot of dairy/egg/nut free recipes. My youngest daughter is allergic to all of those. Surprisingly all her treats still taste great!
